When to enter ihram
Stop at the miqat mosque, put on your ihram there and make your intention before you drive on to Makkah.
Jeddah is inside the miqat boundary. Most scholars say air travellers must enter ihram before landing; some allow entering it in Jeddah when that is hard. Rifqa follows the majority view. Sahih al-Bukhari 1524, 1531; Sahih Muslim 1181
